Friday, April 27th--Enjoy present day and 1860s style food, beverages, clothes, jewelry, toys and souvenirs. 5 pm: Civil War Writer Forum at #3 Church St. the site of the Army Arsenal. 7:30 pm: The ominous beauty and power of Civil War era artillery is unleashed• 8:00 pm: Join in the fun at the re-enactor’s camp dance. Tour the reconstructed breastworks defending Selma, shop with authentic camp sutlers, talk with an officer's wife about the latest fashions. Visit Old Live Oak Cemetery for the memorial service for the many Civil War soldiers buried there.
