Begins December 1, 2011 Thursdays through Sundays only until January 29, 2012 Rikard’s Mill, the 1845 water-powered grist mill located 5 miles north of Beatrice, will be transformed into a twinkling winter wonderland to celebrate this Christmas Season. Ghost Stories at Rikard’s Mill

6:30 p.m.  to 10:00 p.m. both days. Admission is $5. Pumpkin toss, pumpkin painting and pumpkin relay race and a bonfire with spine-chilling ghost stories from the area. Pioneer Days at Rikard’s Mill

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. both days. $5 each for students, teachers and chaperones. Demonstrations of skills and crafts from the past such as blacksmithing, mules grinding sugar cane, and corn milling at the 1845 water-powered grist mill. There will also be candle-making, cooking demonstrations, basket weaving, nature hikes and more. School groups and large groups must call to schedule. Cane Syrup Making Day at Rikard’s Mill
