Monroeville – Fruitcake Festival Celebrating Truman Capote

Festival celebrating Truman Capote and the Southern fruitcake made famous by Sook and Buddy in “A Christmas Memory”. Homemade fruitcakes, divinity and local pecans will be on sale. A silent auction will be held for specially made fruitcakes in collectible tins, much as Capote himself made. Friday night’s program will feature Dawn Hare as Monroeville’s Fruitcake Lady.
