Livingston – Sucarnochee Folklife Festival and Fair
The Sucarnochee Folklife Festival is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of the unique life ways of Black Belt residents. Demonstrations of traditional crafts including pottery, metal works, quilting and more from artists throughout the State. You can also find live music and folksingers, storytelling, historical tours of local sites including a Walking Ghost Tour, folk food and a cornbread cook-off, and the Sucarnochee 5K run. Livingston – Christmas on the Square
Some activities have included Santa Claus, the UWA Band, hot chocolate and goodies, and a few others. Historic US 80 Hi*Way Sale
The Historic US 80 Hi*Way Sale takes place the third Thursday through Saturday of April, April 16th – 18th, 2015, and is a project of the Alabama Rural Development Office, the Black Belt Commission, and the Chambers and Cities all along Highway 80 from Texas to Georgia and Phenix City to Cuba in Alabama. Christmas on the Square
Christmas on the Square is the first Thursday evening in December, December 3, 2015, at the Bored Well in Downtown Livingston from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Christmas on the Square is sponsored by the City of Livingston, the Chamber of Commerce, and a small group of volunteers.
