Runners from all over the Blackbelt are extending their routine daily runs to prepare for the Tommbigbee 10K at Old Lock 1. There, you can enjoy fall foliage through a mist rising off the river. Watch carefully and you may see wildlife other than that young runner about to pass you. Plus, you’ll burn off those extra Thanksgiving calories. Onsite Registration is available that morning from 7:00-7:30 AM. Arrive early as the course is along the only entrance to the park which will close five minutes prior to the race start at 8:00. The located is on the east side of the Tombigbee River approximately 12 miles NW of Jackson, AL (GPS coordinates 31.573237, -88.032836).
