THE WAY WE WORKED Smithsonian Exhibit in Demopolis

April 6, 2015 @ 8:00 am - May 6, 2015 @ 5:00 pm

The Marengo County History & Archives Museum and Marengo County Historical Society, in cooperation with Alabama Humanities Foundation, will explore the professions and the people that sustain American society when it hosts “The Way We Worked,” a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition. In addition, we’ve put together an exhibit of the way Marengo worked!

“The Way We Worked” exhibit will be on display April 6 – May 6, 2015, at the Marengo County History & Archives Museum @ the Rosenbush Building, 101 North Walnut Avenue, Historic Downtown Demopolis, Alabama. The exhibit is free to the public.

The Alabama tour of “The Way We Worked” has been made possible by the Alabama Humanities Foundation, Alabama Power Company, and Norfolk Southern Railroad.

The Marengo County Historical Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization that began its work in 1961, in Demopolis, Alabama. For over 50 years, the Society has offered arts and cultural events while working to preserve the history of Marengo County.
