BLACK BELT TREASURES IS HOG WILD FOR ART
Annual Spring Arts Festival
Camden, Alabama – Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center (BBTCAC) will host its annual Hog Wild for Art Festival on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. This year’s festival will feature demonstrations by artists and artisans from across the Black Belt region of Alabama, kids art activities, “make and take” activities and special hands-on gardening demonstrations with Stacy Lyn Harris. Learn about Composting, Cooking Ribs, Cucumber Salad, and Planting by Seed, from 11am – 2pm, with this award winning author, speaker, gardener, photographer, lawyer, wife and mother of 7 children. This event is held in cooperation with the Wilcox Area Chamber of Commerce’s seventh Annual Mark Curl Memorial BBQ Cook Off in historic downtown Camden.
Throughout the day, demonstrations will be given by several of BBTCAC’s artists (artists To Be Announced soon). In addition to the artist’s demonstrations, face painter Sharon Bumpers will be available to paint her intricate and beautiful artwork on the faces of children, while youth of all ages will have the opportunity to create pig themed artworks and play a variety of outside games and activities.
Activities and demonstrations by artists will begin at 10:00 am and continue until 3:00 pm at BBTCAC located at 209 Claiborne Street in historic downtown Camden. A limited number of silk-screened posters, T-Shirts and hats featuring BBTCAC’s own “Pablo Pigasso” will also be available during the event.
