City of Monroeville Celebrates 120 Years!

Help Monroeville celebrate 120 years! Come out to the courthouse square for a welcome from local officials, followed by a presentation by Founding Director Kathy McCoy of Monroeville’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” production. There will also be a presentation by playwright Stephanie Salter and vignettes from her play, “Crossroads”,  regarding the development of Monroeville and Monroe County.  Afterwards, celebrate with birthday cake for all!  Enjoy art exhibits from regional artists on display in the Old Courthouse and at the Monroe County Public Library.  The Alabama Bicentennial Exhibit will also be on display at the library.  This event is free and open to public!

The play “To Kill A Mockingbird” opens at 7 pm on the Courthouse Square.
