Located in Hayneville, AL, the Interpretive Center is a museum that offers visitors the opportunity to take a look back in time at the events and struggles that African Americans faced during the Civil Rights Era. These exhibits were created and are maintained by the National Park Service. The National Park Service’s main goal is to preserve cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the education, enjoyment, and inspiration of this generation and the future generations to come. The National Park Service works with partners to extend the benefits of outdoor recreation and natural and cultural resource conservation throughout this country.
